Paul's pear and strawberry salad

Use up those last few strawberries left in the punnet and reinvent them by adding them to a salad! The sweetness of the strawberries and the saltiness of the bacon and feta make for a great combination.

Strawberry salad

Servings: Makes 4 servings - Cannot be frozen


100g of baby spinach
Splash of olive oil
2 tablespoons of orange juice
2 rashes of bacon, cut into strips
1 pear
50g feta cheese
6 strawberries


1 To make the salad dressing, whisk olive oil and orange juice together in a small bowl until combined.

2 Place spinach leaves in a salad bowl or plate.

3 Cut pear into slices and add pear to the spinach.

4 Fry bacon until crispy & brown.

5 Wash and stem strawberries, pat dry and cut strawberries into quarters.

6 Place a dash of olive oil in a pan and lightly fry the strawberries.

7 Add bacon, strawberries and feta to the spinach and pear.

8 Add the dressing to salad, lightly season with salt and pepper if desired and gently toss to combine.
