Fresh yoghurt dip with toasted pita bread

Turn yoghurt and cucumbers into a fresh dip – perfect for last minute entertaining. The toasted pita bread chips are a great way to use up pita bread and can be served with any dip.

Servings: Makes 4 servings - Cannot be frozen


1 cucumber, grated
350 ml or 1 ½ cups plain yoghurt
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped mint
½ tbsp chopped dill, optional
2 cloves garlic, finely grated
toasted pita bread


1 Put the grated cucumber in a tea towel and squeeze out the excess liquid.

2 Combine the drained cucumber with the yoghurt, lemon juice, mint, dill and garlic and put into a serving bowl.

3 Cut the toasted pita into small pieces and serve with the dip.
